Arushi ParmarVenture banker, migration essayist, hard-to-startle ex-cadet

Arushi is a venture banker in Toronto, spending her days listening to founders describe things that don't exist yet and figuring out how to fund them. An immigrant herself, she believes capital follows people, not the other way around: a city gains an engineer and eventually gains a company, a cuisine, an accent it didn't have before. She writes about what movement does to economies and the cultures on both ends of the trip. She holds an MBA from Simon Fraser University and has twice been named a Women in Tech honoree.
